Mt Pleasant Wedding | Adelaide, South Australia Jono & Lucy's special day dawned sunny and bright, despite the rain that had fallen week before. The ground around Lucy's house had soaked up the rain and had turned into mud that was perfect for the pigs, but not so much for Lucy's dress. We opted to head straight to a bridge behind the bakery for our morning shots of Lucy and her beautiful girls. The wedding ceremony was held at the Mt. Pleasant Showgrounds, a place where Lucy's family is well known for their free range pork (go check them out: www.facebook.com/tdmfreerangefarms ). Lucy looked absolutely stunning in her off the shoulder lace gown, complete with cowboy boots and beautiful sapphire jewellery to compliment her engagement ring. It was a very emotional procession as Jono first saw his bride and couldn't contain his tears. He seemed relieved when she finally made it all the way down the aisle and hugged her tight.
We soon discovered that we were going to experience all four seasons that day, as the sunny morning was replaced with grey skies with the wind eventually picking up and the rain coming down. The bridal party were such good sports though, doing their best to appear warm despite the fast-dropping temperatures. The bridal cars for the day were a combination of modern and classic Mini Coopers provided by various friends of Jono & Lucys. We had a fun time incorporating them into the photos, and they provided good warmth and shelter from the rain! The team at Elysian Springs Winery were very accomodating in letting us use their property for the bridal party photos - we certainly made good use of every last ounce of light before returning to the showgrounds where a feast had been prepared for everyone to enjoy. Thanks Jono and Lucy for inviting Amber and I to share your special day! Cilla x
